On May 15th and 16th, the doors will be open to the public at the Austonian Condominium project, for the first and last time. The Austonian has been pre-selling units since before it broke ground and is nearly ready to accept new residents.
Located at 200 Congress Avenue, the Austonian in downtown Austin is the tallest structure in the city at 56 stories and is the tallest building west of the Mississippi River.
With an average unit price of $1.5 million, the luxury condos are priced all the way up to $8 million and sales have not struggled.
Rumors have flown over the last year about buyers purchasing units with some saying Kanye West bought an entire floor (which has been unsubstantiated) to Bill Clinton purchasing a top floor unit (also unsubstantiated). Most are just rumors, but rappers like Kanye West are already making references to the Austin landmark in their lyrics.
The Austonian will not have another open house, so if you are interested, visit the Women’s Symphony League website for tickets and more information.

If the CCR&R’s says the HOA can evict then chances are they are going to try, especially if the owner has been notified and fails to take action. Seems like the HOA board would put more pressure on the unit owner to rectify the infraction before going to the great lengths of eviction. Sounds like there are more details needed to provide an accurate answer. Perhaps a call to the state real estate commission legal hotline would be in order.
